| Bio: | There is not much to say about myself. I’m a college educated American of Japanese/English (with a bit of Irish, Scottish & Cherokee) decent. I’m married with no children (yet) and I currently live and work in California, although I grew up in Hawaii. I plan to use this journal as a place to rant about things. I can be extremely opinionated and I’m more then happy to share these vital opinions with the world. There is a certain appeal in the facelessness of the internet. Once can say things that one may not normally say when interacting face to face. I enjoy many things but I feel these are the interests that most need be stated. I love the works of founding fathers of 20th century Fantasy, adventure and horror like R.E. Howard, Burroughs and H.P. Lovecraft. I enjoy Anime although I’m not an Otaku (believe me being called an Otaku is not a good thing). Besides Anime I also enjoy Japanese TV shows and music. I’m fascinated with world history and anthropology. I’ll admit that I’m a gamer and have been since I was 9 years old. I play D&D and tons of other role playing games and I’m damn proud of that fact. Although I am a bit ashamed to say that as I gamer I have never gone to GenCon. I have been called a Brit-o-phile since I do enjoy British TV (thank god for BBC America, Amazon UK and my region-free DVD player) and also since the only non-Asian teas I drink are almost all imported from England. I hit up the Ren-Faire every year and usually Animexpo as well (although not so much lately). I like Irish rock music, classical music, 70’s and 80’s rock, Sci-Fi and Horror films as well. I tend to hum either J-pop (Japanese Pop-Rock) or really old English, Irish or American Folk songs to myself, especially while at work. I enjoy playing video games (PS3 and Wii) and table-top games such as Warhammer and Hordes. I'm also the founder and head researcher for The Los Angeles Paranormal Society. Website to follow once I finish it. | |
